You have been SO BUSY! I'm incredibly impressed.

I have a few 'cheat codes' that enable me to be productive, these include rich parents and the fact I have no wife or kids.

The Bread Shed gig was okay, but attendance was low, and my set wasn't as tightly structured as in previous years. I expect most people were too busy freezing their arses off to notice.

I badly want to grow those YouTube channels, but:

1. My camera and mic set-up could do with an expensive upgrade

2. When it comes to online guitar lessons, gaps in the market are strikingly hard to come by. This is less of a problem with Mandarin, where my idiosyncrasies are more of a strength than a weakness, but there are still competitors with million-subscriber head-starts.

3. As much as I would like to multiply my audience, the disciplines required to do so - analytics, engagement, SEO, 'playing the algorithm' - bore the tits off me.

Me too! SEO and analytics are incredibly dull and were my least favourite parts of my interiors role. Plus I suspect everyone involved in SEO is just guessing. I hope your 2024 is full of fabulousness and wonder and a lot of YouTube success. Did you get my Christmas card?

Actually no, but you have a lot on your plate so it doesn't matter.
